Your switchboard still has ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers
Safety switches trip repeatedly, or you don't have one on every circuit
Lights flicker or dim when appliances start up
Powerpoints are discoloured, warm to touch, or loose in the wall
You're running extension leads and power boards as a permanent fix

Pricing
What affects the cost
We do not publish fixed prices, because guessing at a number before seeing the job helps nobody. Here is what actually drives it.
- How many points, lights or circuits are involved
- Whether the property is single or double storey, and roof/subfloor access
- Age and condition of the existing wiring
- Whether the switchboard has spare capacity or needs upgrading
- Whether the work is prescribed and requires independent inspection
- Whether cabling can be concealed or needs to be surface mounted
You get a quote first. We will talk through what the job involves and what it costs before we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Questions
Residential FAQs
Straight answers to what people ask us most about this service.
Do you provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety?
Yes. Electrical work in Victoria is certified with a Certificate of Electrical Safety, and you receive one for the work we carry out. It's your documented record that the work was completed to standard.
Can you add powerpoints to an existing room?
In most cases, yes. What's possible depends on wall construction, access above the ceiling or under the floor, and whether the existing circuit has capacity. Send us a photo of the room and your switchboard and we can usually advise quickly.
Do I need a safety switch on every circuit?
Requirements depend on the age of the installation and the work being carried out, and they're stricter for rental properties. We can inspect your switchboard and tell you what's there now and what's recommended.
